TIMELINE
Day 1
Leave “Busy” Behind and Be Amazed
You are in Reykjavik, the Icelandic capital, standing on a blank slate for the adventure ahead. You’re excited. You exchange introductions with your tour director and your fellow travelers, people who came from all over to cross journeys with you today. Beautiful bonds, connections, and friendships are on the verge of forming. We leave for the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, and the scenery around us evokes involuntary “wows.” Then, we arrive at Hotel Búdir, a place of refined amenities and wilderness luxury, where we unwind in the lounge with a welcome cocktail. Conversations and laughter. What a first day… this feels fantastic!

Day 2
Everything You Always Wondered About Sharks
Sipping your morning coffee while staring at mountains and water in the distance gives you the tranquility you’ve been craving. We indulge at breakfast because it’s all delicious, and it’s vacation. Then, we burn that energy on exploring volcanic craters, lush valleys, a massive glacier, and all that Snaefellsjokull National Park offers. Later, we counterbalance that with an intriguing corner of Icelandic culture at the local shark museum. Learn everything about shark fishing and sample the delicacy. It doesn’t get more local than that!

Day 3
A Tiny Island in the North Atlantic… and You
It’s Day 3, you feel refreshed, ready to immerse yourself in more of what’s truly Icelandic. Leaving Búdir, we’ll take a ferry to the tiny island of Flatey, a tranquil place filled with birdlife and nature where time seems to stand still. Tourists very rarely get to see this gem, but we are here… today. Surreal! Take in your surroundings with lunch, and let’s continue toward the Westfjords, Iceland’s most sparsely populated region.

Day 4
Puffins… not Tourists!
This adventure is called “More Puffins Than People” for a reason: very few tourists and an infinity of seabirds… including Iceland’s beloved puffins. At the awe-inspiring Látrabjarg bird cliffs – the country’s westernmost point – we’ll find millions of seabirds, including razorbills, guillemots, northern gannets, and puffins. And while most people have heard of the black sand beaches in Iceland, we will walk on red sand at stunning Rauðasandur beach, which derives its name, as you probably guessed, from the sand itself. Yes: “wow” is right (again)!
Experience the Total Solar Eclipse in Iceland on August 12, 2026. This day offers a rare and unique opportunity to witness a total solar eclipse in one of the most beautiful settings on Earth.

Day 5
The Coolest Beer You’ll Ever Drink
Here we are, five days into our Icelandic journey. Time to head northwest to Ísafjörður, the vibrant heart of the Westfjords, and enjoy a tour and beer tasting at the first (and only) craft brewery in the region. Along the way, you realize that the drive itself is an attraction, like a movie where the plot is the continuously evolving scenery. A highlight is the majestic Dynjandi waterfall, a cascading marvel of nature. We reach today’s destination: Heydalur, where we are welcomed by our hosts, cozy accommodations, untouched nature, and meals entirely composed of local, seasonal ingredients. It’s like home, but in Iceland.

Icelandic Nature by Horseback or Kayak
You have options today: if you want to feel and experience Heydalur Valley’s nature up close, ride alongside rivers and black sand beaches while enjoying the unique tölt gait of Icelandic horses. If the Nordic waters are calling you, join your guide on a kayak tour in the serene fjord, spotting seals and other wildlife. But if all you desire is some profound relaxation, dedicate your day to the area’s geothermal pools, a light hike, or that good book you’ve been wanting to finish for a while.

Day 7
Stuck Between a Glacier… and a Lava Field
Another beautiful morning, another delicious breakfast, another magical day about to start. We head back south to Husafell, a unique place nestled between a glacier and a lava field. Along the way make a stop at a small fishing town and at historic Reykholt. Let’s witness the geologic, millennia-long dance of fire and ice at Hraunfossar waterfalls, a collection of creeks and cascades streaming out of the lava. We then arrive at Hotel Husafell, a place of serene luxury, in time for dinner.

Be An Icelander Today
Everyone has heard of the Blue Lagoon, but few outside of Iceland know that geothermal pools of all sizes are scattered all around the country. Few things are more Icelandic than hiking through the surreal landscapes of the highlands, followed by a relaxing soak in a geothermal pool. That’s exactly what you will do at the remote Húsafell Canyon Baths today, in addition to seeing the inside of a cave shaped by lava. You will also have the option of walking through man-made tunnels inside Langjökull, Iceland’s second-largest glacier. Either way, the experience is guaranteed to stay with you.
